In Year Admission Application

Welcome to our Admissions Page. Admissions applications to Holy Family School are managed by our Office Manager, Mrs Whittle. She can be contacted at the school on 01793 521933 or at admissions@holyfamily.swindon.sch.uk.

Parents would normally be making an in-year application if they have recently moved, have arrived from another country, or want to transfer their child to another school.

The Governing body is the admissions authority and has responsibility for admissions to this school. 

Applications will be reviewed every 10 days - which are called process periods.

The Governors will consider in-year applications within 10 school days of receipt of an application. An application made is not prioritised by the date it is received it but is considered against the ranking criteria outlined in the school's admission policy.
The school will notify parents of the outcome of any application by phone within 10 days of receiving the application and write within 15 school days of receiving the application.

In Year Applications - Appeals

If an application for a place is unsuccessful, parents or (those with parental responsibility) should lodge their appeal via the citizen's portal on the Swindon Borough Council website. The appeal should be made by the 20th school day after the date of the letter informing that a place is not available has been received.

Holy Family School will endeavour to arrange for the appeal to be heard within 30 school days of receipt of the lodged appeal.

Parents should provide any evidence they wish to submit in support of their appeal by at least 6 school days before the date of the appeal hearing.
